Get Growing! Expo 2022

Get Growing! Expo Series — presented by Wintrust — launched in the summer of 2021 and after its success, returns in June of 2022 to North Michigan Avenue, Markham, IL and North Lawndale.

Each 3-day event features inspiring garden displays, a series of hands-on and DIY workshops and a green mini-marketplace featuring vendors, nonprofit organizations and sponsors. Plant Truck Chicago will also be on-site at each event offering houseplants and vegetable plants.

Neighborhood residents and community groups will celebrate all things green right in their own backyard.

2022 Dates

June 3-5: Pioneer Court — 401 N Michigan Avenue

June 10-12: North Lawndale — 3607 W Douglas Boulevard

June 17-19: Wintrust Bank — 3120 W 159th St, Markham, IL

How it all began…

Get Growing! Expo — presented by Wintrust — launched in the summer of 2021. We visited three different communities — North Michigan Ave., North Lawndale, and the Brookfield Zoo — over three separate weekends in June.

We inspired attendees with 10 educational 4’ x 4’ garden displays and educated them with a series of hands-on and DIY workshops. Plant Truck Chicago was also on-site at each event offering a green marketplace featuring houseplants and vegetable plants.

The first year was a great success! Neighborhood residents and community groups were able to celebrate all things green right in their own backyard.
